JMH & Co. Announces $10,000 Donation to Community Response Committee

On Friday January 13, 2017, local accounting firm JMH & Co. Chartered Professional Accountants began the New Year by announcing they would be donating $10,000.00 to the City of Brooks “Community Response Committee”. This $10,000.00 donation will be matched by the City of Brooks.

The Community Response Committee (CRC) is a proactive interagency group that was formed to help struggling families and individuals by giving them a hand up. In 2016, the CRC refocused its efforts to assist Brooks and area residents hit hard by the oil and gas industry downturn. The CRC has been largely funded by the City of Brooks but is now looking to the corporate sector to help fill the funding gap. JMH & Co. is one of the first local companies to provide a significant donation to the CRC.

“JMH & Co. is a proud member of the Brooks and area business community and we’ve been looking at a number of different ways that we can give back to the City and area residents, many of whom are our clients and friends. When we learned that the City of Brooks would match our donation, bringing the total funding to $20,000.00, it seemed like the best way to help those in the community who are still suffering financially” said Jeff Benson, CPA and JMH & Co. partner.
