Community Investment Policy Statement

JMH strives to provide meaningful impact through the support and active engagement of the people that surround us. Our investment takes place as a result of our normal business activities, providing local employment, purchasing local supplies and equipment, contributions to government tax pools, and through the promotion of our brands, but also from corporate philanthropy. Collectively, our goal is to enrich the well being and health of our communities by conducting ourselves consistent with our values of Integrity, Teamwork, Accountability, Knowledge, and Excellence.

Our community investment activities will be guided by the following principles:

Business Alignment

We will invest in and partner with educational and professional services accreditation agencies that promote the skills and areas of knowledge that develop exemplary business resources consistent with the activities of our business. We endeavor to complement the work done in our various communities by governments and local agencies, seeking to enhance their efforts through the addition of our own.

Employee Support

JMH supports the volunteer activities and philanthropic contributions of our employees. We realize that the connection of the skills of our people and causes within the community deliver genuine outcomes, engaging the passion of our employees, and enhancing our brands and reputation. We will actively engage our employees for input into our strategy, ensuring that current and relevant needs are addressed and supported where possible.

Partnerships

We will partner with philanthropic organizations that provide positive impacts on our society, and that align with our values. JMH will have one overall corporate philanthropic partner, as well as one major partner in each geographic area in which we operate. Our investment in our partners will not only be financial, but will also encompass active engagement in the activities that promote their mandate.

Management & Measurement

Executive management will review and update the community investment policy on an annual basis, seeking to continuously improve the relationships within our geographic areas, and our impact on society.

JMH will develop and report upon key indicators that monitor our progress and performance with regards to community investment. We are dedicated to the continuous improvement of our measurement systems, providing consistent communication to all of our stakeholders regarding sustainable business activities.
