Darren W. Petersen - CA, CFP
Darren has been with Johnston Morrison Hunter & Co. LLP since 1990. During this time, he obtained his designation as a Chartered Accountant and is a Certified Financial Planner licensee. He also completed the CICA in-depth tax courses.
Darren has always enjoyed working with small business. His training is geared towards helping his clients with taxes, planning, and other business needs. For this reason, Darren pursued and earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) license from the Financial Planners Standards Council. As a Certified Financial Planner licensee, Darren understands that your trust is at the heart of the financial planning relationship -- trust in his competence, integrity, objectivity, and that he will act first and foremost in your best interest.
With an interest in tax and the desire to help owners of small business, Darren completed the three year in-depth tax course offered by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. His spare time is spent with his wife and three boys. They enjoy doing almost anything together, and especially enjoy camping, fishing, skiing, and any other activity that keeps them busy.
