Our Community

JMH strives to provide a meaningful impact through financial support and active engagement in the community. Our community investment includes providing local employment, purchasing local supplies and equipment, contributions to local organizations and involvement in local events. Collectively, our goal is to enrich the well-being and health of our communities by conducting ourselves consistent with our values.

Rise-Up Grant

Launched in 2016, our 100th year, the Rise-Up Program has helped over 30 students in their pursuit of becoming successful business owners in many communities across Southern Alberta.

Our Rise-Up grant does more than just give away money.  The grant provides the opportunity for entrepreneurs to build up their company, our communities, the programs within it and help entrepreneurs become stronger in their trade.

Our program will fund 50% of your project with no payback required and the other 50% will have a payback period of up to 5 years with an interest-free loan.  The maximum grant amount available is $25,000.

What do we fund?

The program’s primary purpose is to help spark economic development in our communities through the financial assistance that may not be available through traditional means.  JMH continues to value small business and entrepreneurship and we continue to dream big.  We hope to see businesses “Rise-Up” and meet their full potential.

What makes this program different?

We welcome and support projects that benefit more than a company founder’s bank account. We support companies that embrace social responsibilities and are not solely focused on maximizing profits.  The preference, for this grant, is when the social responsibility is then benefiting our local communities and the programs and people within them.

When do we fund?

We will accept grant applications at all times and review them on a monthly basis.  We are committed to invest $100,000 into our community through the Rise-Up Grant.  These funds are available now and will be available until our allotment has been spent.

MRU-JMH LaunchPad Program

The JMH Venutre LaunchPad was created in 2011 to help MRU’s most entrepreneurial students pursue their passion to start their own ventures. The LaunchPad program provides grants to students as well as valuable mentorship, culminating in the annual LaunchPad Pitch Competition.

In this Dragon’s Den-style competition, students pitch their entrepreneurial venture to a panel of experienced judges and a supportive audience for their share of $60,000 in cash and services. Before the competition, students work hand-in-hand with a collective of seasoned entrepreneurs to develop their value proposition, learn how to effectively pitch their idea and learn from some of the brightest entrepreneurial minds in Calgary.

The JMH Venture LaunchPad is Mount Royal University’s signature entrepreneurship initiative and truly supports our goal of creating the most entrepreneurial minds in Canada. Funded by a generous donation from JMH&CO. of $250,000 over five years, LaunchPad has been responsible for supporting multiple Mount Royal based startups through financial assistance and mentorship opportunities. All Mount Royal students are welcome to apply to the LaunchPad program.

JMH also provides accounting services and business mentorship to winning competitors.

Yo lo aprendí en Venciendo la Impotencia, es muy importante que Kamagra no se administre con medicamentos que contengan nitratos. Ya que este medicamento igual que otros inhibidores de PDE-5, la excitación ocurrirá naturalmente.
