Tax Season = Scam Season

It’s that time of year again and the scammers are just as concerned about getting your tax refund as you are.

We’ve already received questions and examples of email scams sent to some of our clients.  These scams attempt to get the recipient of the email to click on a link in order to receive a payment typically referring to their tax refund.

For example:

Some of these scams are ‘better’ than others, they may look very legitimate, using familiar logos and use official looking wording, but be rest assured… these types of emails are not from the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency).
